Hey. I'm new here, so I hope I'm posting this in the right and that it doesn't already exist somewhere and I'm double posting or anything.

I have a little Shih Tzu, Chabo. She just turned two, and July 25th marks her two year anniversary living with me and my husband.

Chabo is a very good little dog. Never aggressive or possessive of food or toys, not very jealous or anything. She does jump on guests, but at 9 lbs, we've never worried about it.

Right now I am 21 weeks pregnant with a little boy that is due in October.

My husband and I love our little "first born" fur baby, and we are hoping to prepare her for the new baby so Chabo can stay a part of our family.

We are open to any advice to prepare Chabo for Robbie's homecoming in October.

Hi congrats, When I brought my baby home I put my dogs favourite treats at the baby's feet , as soon as i came in the door with him in his car seat my dog took the "offerings" that the new baby brought. I felt It would let my dogs know good things come with baby and of course I gave my dogs alot of happy talks and petting. Start walking your dog with a stroller before baby comes so he is use to the idea.
