Hi
I have a female bernese mountain dog puppy, 6 months old.
I need some advise to get her attention outside. Inside i have no issue, she looks at me when i call her, whne i ask her something (sit, down, go to your mat...) but outside she does not listen to me, barely look at me.
Any advise.
Thank you.

We are still new to the whole puppy training thing so someone else might have a better answer, but we were told by our trainer that we need to be more interesting than anything else outside...in other words really good yummy treats LOL. So the dog knows that coming to you will have a better reward than anything else they come across.

How I worked on attention with my pup outside was a chair, some treats and her on a leash. Just go park yourself in a chair and wait, you can even stand. Just wait, don't talk don't do anything. Eventually your pup will get bored and look at you in a 'Why aren't you moving" sort of way. Praise and give her/him a treat. Reward any sort of reorienting the dog offers you, an unintentional head turn toward you, a glance anything.
