I gave Finnlee his Nexgard and Iverhart Max this morning. Normally he takes them like treats right out of my hand. Well this morning he wouldn't. So I made up his breakfast and put them in it and stirred it up. He picked them out and dropped it on the floor. So I took the food in the bowl the pills and crushed the pills and mixed it all together. He wasn't too thrilled with his breakfast but ate most of it. Normally he licks his bowl clean. Both medications are well within the expiration dates on the box. The Nexgard is 06/2023 and the Iverhart is 07/2022. So does anyone have and tips on getting the medications into the dog?

The methods you used seem pretty good. Last week i needed to get a prilosec into my dog, i put it in its mouth and held its mouth shut till it swallowed the pill, no harm, no foul...

I bought a package of pill pouches from chewy.com.
