I've a fawn 5 months old boxer puppy. A few days ago I noticed that his scrotum had become a little bit black. It have been pretty cold here recently (-15 celsius) and I was wondering if he might have gotten a frostbite on his scrotum? The area is not cold but black but warm, he don't seems to care about it at all. Should I take him to vet to check or is it just pigment?

It could be pigment, but frostbite is nothing to play around with. If you think it's possible he has frostbite, I'd take him to the vet.

Most likely it isn't frostbite, just because that area is close to the body, where it is normally kept warm, for lack of a better way to put it. If the dog has been where it is getting frostbite, you'd see it on the ears and tail as well. Do you see frostbite there?
