Very slowly. Start by getting the dog interested in the FB. Feed their meals in it. Tease him with it and praise for interaction. Carry it with you on walks and make it a fun toy.
Next, use treats to teach your dog "catch it". Toss treats at him one foot away and get him to catch them. Then transfer the command to the FB. Toss it to him while sitting inside a foot away and say "catch it". Then move to 2 feet, then 3 feet and so on.
Then move outside and go from there. Lots of praise and fun should be involved.
