The other day we were playing tug of war with Tucker and I noticed something on his lip. At first I thought it was a wart then a tick then back to a wart.

After closer examination Hubby says the base of it is really small...and it feels rubbery and like it could pop. Also today, I noticed blood in Tuckers water bowl so iI checked his mouth and it was bleeding.(I'm assuming he bit it while eating- that is the only time I've noticed it bleeding)

Just a wart or maybe something I should go and get checked out? He was just at the Vet Mid January and got a full check up (this was his new patient check up) and I'm assuming the Vet didnt see it...

I'd get that looked at. I'm not saying it's anything dangerous, I have no idea, but stuff bleeding, in the mouth, I would err on the side of caution.

thanks for the quick response! just to give a description of it since its not a great picture- it's not normally that red its actually black like the color of the inside of his lips it was only red from the blood. It's smooth to the touch except it has these little white growths on it... yeah the more I describe it the more I talk myself into taking him to the Vet. He REALLY doesn't like for me to touch it. You can tell if I touch it that it hurts him- and that in and of itself is enough of a reason.

Charlotte get's things like this from time to time, mainly just due to aging. They go away on their own after a while, but if it seems to be bothering him, I'd have the vet remove it.
