My 15 week choc. lab isn't doing well on Formm. She has been having really bad loose stool been to the vet multiple times-antibiotics and flora isn't work. Chicken and rice works sorta...not that great either but makes the stool more tight, the second I add about 20 pieces of Formm back to bad loose stool.

With that being said I think I need to try another dog food, what do you suggest for puppy large breed.

Thank you!

Which Fromm were you using? I'm dealing with the same problem right now, our vet said there were too many protein sources in the food and difficult for our pup to digest. I don't have a large breed so I'm not sure which foods are best for them, but I would definitely switch. We are switching to Ziwipeak right now and it's getting consistently better.

Has your pup been checked for parasites or worms? Is the puppy food chicken based? He could have a sensitivity to that or another ingredient in the food? We've had to fight back from Giarida and find a suitable food at the same time. After trying a few kinds, including Fromm, we've finally settled on Earthborn Holistics. I know they make a puppy formula, but not sure about large breed. My dog is a lab/shepherd mix and I do not feed large breed. The calcium level in Earthborn is pretty good, I believe. I've always fed grain free and didn't want to do chicken, so I chose the all life stage Great Plains Feast. This formula does not contain chicken or potatoes. I'm not positive which of these my dog has problems with so I chose a food with neither of those in it. We too went through antibiotics and Fortiflora and neither helped the loose stools. Perfect Form helped to firm his stools within a few days, but I would also suggest the pre/probiotic, Gentle Digest, if you've had him on antibiotics to help the flora return to normal. It worked much better than the Fortiflora that the vet prescribed. My puppy was on antibiotics for 20 days straight and this has really helped. He's been eating Earthborn for 3 weeks and his stools are normal and his coat is incredibly soft and beginning to grow in where he had previously chewed. Good luck. I hope you find something that works soon.
