Thanks for the awesome LGD thread. I opened the link but way to much reading for me. (at the time anyway). I will bookmark it though. Convincing more people that LGDs can be valuable is the way to go IMO.

When I have my farm in a few years, there will most definitely be at least one, probably two LGDs for the flock. About the most economical and effective form of asset protection.

I was able to attend a demonstration last year of an awesome rescue mutt sniffing out snow leopard scat in an auditorium full of people. His motivator was tug- it was pretty funny seeing his handler trying to answer questions while he was whipping his head (and her arms) back and forth with his tuggy toy. She must have the world's strongest shoulder muscles. :D
