Food expiration date

If you just bought it today, I think I would take it back and tell them you want a bag that has a longer time before it expires. My dogs go through food so fast that wouldn't be an issue. You could also freeze the portion you are not using right away too to keep it fresh.

I would definately take it back. That bag of food has been on a shelf for sometime!
Not that I feed Dog Chow...but I was looking at a bag at the grocery store,,reading the ingredient label and the expiration date Dec. 2010. I realize that some foods have more preservatives than others, but still that bag of Purina was a heck of a lot fresher than the TOTW you bought.
