So since our intermediate agility class is not starting until October I have decided to sign Fibi up for fly ball classes!

We went to the "All About Pets Show" in Toronto this year and watched some of the fly ball demonstration and wow was it ever fast!

Any tips on how to get ready for this class? Anyone else taking fly ball classes?

Get a complete vet check with emphasis on the soundness of the front legs/shoulders as Flyball is quite hard on those joints.

The instructors will show you how to build drive and speed. The one thing that is a huge no-no is dogs that are so possessive of the ball they will attack the dog running in the next lane.....they are not likely candidates for the sport.

If you make the team, be prepared to travel on weekends to the events. Hotel, meals, gas, etc. can add up.

This is loud and fast but, alot of fun!
