Not a first time dog owner have had multiple dogs including great Dane, lab, boxer, Boston terrier. We just got a 4 month old goldendoodle that was a litter of 13. She was one of the last to be adopted at 4 months old. I currently have a Boston terrier and a boxer. She was in a home with 6 + dogs.

My question is she does not respond to calls to come, and she does not wish to sit with myself which is an adult male. She also does not want to sleep in a bed she would rather sleep in the bathroom on the tile floor. She is very playful and plays with my other dog's. I have two children one female 17 and 1 male 11 that she also gets along great with. Is it normal for her not to want to interact with me after leaving a home with multiple dogs? There was a male living in the house but not sure of his situation. Do goldendoodles take a little while to acclimate to a new household at 4 months old. Thank you for any response in advance

She's 4 months old. She's a baby still mentally.

Her attention span is almost nothing so learning command like come when called will take time, repeation and positive reinforcement. Probably not reliable until over a year old.

Loads of dogs don't like to snuggle or sit really close with a human. Sometimes its the dog has lots of energy and moves about, sometimes they just prefer one human over another for no obvious reason, someone they like the humans that aren't their normal trainers because its a relax break from expectations.

Your dog will develop her own personality over the next year or so. Work with it and drop any breed based personality expectations.
