adorable babies....but, i'm thinking (and you said that they're not sure mom is pure FCR) that there is something else there, what w/ all the white markings....mom could have some Border in her (maybe Golden/Border or FCR/Border) which would throw the white markings.....
but they are cute...love puppies....
Thanks Blizzard! I agreeAwwwww! The puppies are just too cute![]()
yeah, i think i would tend to believe the BC/Retriever (either FCR or Golden, leaning more toward Golden) than a pure FCR.....you would be surprised at the retrieving instincts of the BC (they do, in a sense, "retrieve" the livestock that they are sent after...just not something you throw for them to go getYou think you see some BC in her? I thought so too at one time but then I thought Flattie because of her personality and her retrieving instinct. She's a really laid back girl, I wish I could steal her! I hope they're is BC in them because I'm looking for a high drive dog like Hallie. I guess we'll see when they get older! Apparently not one is one color even the almost all black one has a white paw! Definitely something else in there!
Which corner? I'm leaning towards an all-black one too. Yeah I thought it might be odd that she would have alot of Flattie in her because they're really really hard to find around there. She's about the size of a lab on the bigger side so she's definitely got something larger than BC in her. BC will just the give the pups more drive which is what I want =] I'm already counting down! What adorable puppies! That black pup in the corner is my favorite
She could quite likely be a border collie mix. One of my neighbors has a sweet border collie x retriever mix that looks like Happy. The thing with mix breeds is that she could look 100% Flattie and act 100% Border Collie or look AND act 100% Flattie and still be a mix. What a beautiful face, though!
I don't have any name suggestions of my own, but I feel like Rowan and Noah would fit a brown puppy more. Keep us posted!
Good I want a multitasker! lol And BCs are so cute. The only thing that worries me about potentially owning a BC mix is that I won't be able to handle him...yeah, i think i would tend to believe the BC/Retriever (either FCR or Golden, leaning more toward Golden) than a pure FCR.....you would be surprised at the retrieving instincts of the BC (they do, in a sense, "retrieve" the livestock that they are sent after...just not something you throw for them to go get)
Lol thanks but I didn't name her! It sure fits her though, she's the happiest dog I've ever met! Yeah the countdown has officially begun! I'll post pics every week and I'll have alot to post! I love the name jinx! It's uniquei'm with some of the others and with the markings those cute little puppy sausages have, i'd say there was some bc in there somewhere, i can kinda see it in happys face ( such a great name for a dog btw).

oh, don't worry about that....you get used to being handled quite quickly....my problem is, they all want different things at the same timeGood I want a multitasker! lol And BCs are so cute. The only thing that worries me about potentially owning a BC mix is that I won't be able to handle him...
