Lol yes no name! I've kind of kept it a secret from everyone here because I didn't want to jinx myself  But They're here!! The mom, happy(her name), had a nice smooth delivery and delievered 7 nice puppies. 4 brown and 3 black. The mom's a Flattie, or a very close mix but I believe they said she's purebred. I call her happy the humble She's such a great little dog. The litter was accidental between her and a golden retriever so.. they're retriever babies! They're my cousin's and I can take my little boy, I plan on hopefully getting a boy, home till like the 2nd week of june. I plan to post a thread after this weekend with better pictures because I haven't got to see them yet so my cousin took the pics. Still cute!!
Name suggestions? PLEASE! we've came up with Noah, Avery, and Rowan.
On to the pictures =)
Happy the humble mom is happy to be back to her normal size:

She was a little tired afterwards but still with her happy expression

Right after birth (one wasn't cleaned up yet sorry), look at that little face in the right corner!

pile of newborn puppies!

And again!

All done! Plan to have more pics soon I'll get to see them this weekend :). And I'm still not sure which is mine. I'm waiting to see their personalities because I want one like hallie with alot of drive and that's pretty smart. I kind of have my eyes on the all-black one.

I can't believe in 2 weeks they'll be crawling around and opening their eyes :) It's so exciting!

Oh the cuteness! When did ya get the happy mommy?!
Nessa
Oh the mom is my cousin's! I wish I could own the mom, she's such a pleasant dog.

adorable babies....but, i'm thinking (and you said that they're not sure mom is pure FCR) that there is something else there, what w/ all the white markings....mom could have some Border in her (maybe Golden/Border or FCR/Border) which would throw the white markings.....

but they are cute...love puppies....

You think you see some BC in her? I thought so too at one time but then I thought Flattie because of her personality and her retrieving instinct. She's a really laid back girl, I wish I could steal her! I hope they're is BC in them because I'm looking for a high drive dog like Hallie. I guess we'll see when they get older! Apparently not one is one color even the almost all black one has a white paw! Definitely something else in there!

Thanks Blizzard! I agree :)

What adorable puppies! That black pup in the corner is my favorite :D

She could quite likely be a border collie mix. One of my neighbors has a sweet border collie x retriever mix that looks like Happy. The thing with mix breeds is that she could look 100% Flattie and act 100% Border Collie or look AND act 100% Flattie and still be a mix. What a beautiful face, though!

I don't have any name suggestions of my own, but I feel like Rowan and Noah would fit a brown puppy more. Keep us posted!

yeah, i think i would tend to believe the BC/Retriever (either FCR or Golden, leaning more toward Golden) than a pure FCR.....you would be surprised at the retrieving instincts of the BC (they do, in a sense, "retrieve" the livestock that they are sent after...just not something you throw for them to go get:D)

i'm with some of the others and with the markings those cute little puppy sausages have, i'd say there was some bc in there somewhere, i can kinda see it in happys face ( such a great name for a dog btw).
but i bet your excited, i know when i got the news my pup was finally born, the countdown began :)
definately keep us updated with pictures and which one you decided to take home... andi kinda like the name jinx, as you didnt want to jinx yourself :)

Which corner? I'm leaning towards an all-black one too. Yeah I thought it might be odd that she would have alot of Flattie in her because they're really really hard to find around there. She's about the size of a lab on the bigger side so she's definitely got something larger than BC in her. BC will just the give the pups more drive which is what I want =] I'm already counting down!

Good I want a multitasker! lol And BCs are so cute. The only thing that worries me about potentially owning a BC mix is that I won't be able to handle him...

oh, don't worry about that....you get used to being handled quite quickly....my problem is, they all want different things at the same time:D:rolleyes:....

Lol love the names! Hopefully he'll be a laid back boy, that's why I may wait till they're around 6-8 weeks to even pick one! Agility is great Hallie is hopefully taking agility classes this summer but I'm afraid she doens't have a good enough come! I want a dog that has different purposes and one that can focas.
