Death of 2 of my dogs at Pets at Home.

My female dog was pregnant and had a c section operation and died a few hours later and an autopsy says it was probable peritonitis.. The vets done a blood test before the operation and said there was an infection but gave her no antibiotics for it.. After her death they are now claiming they never said that and there was no infection but they are lying because i have them on a recorded phone call where they say that she has an infection...

There was 3 puppies that came out and one of which wasnt feeding the normal every 2 hours but instead only wanted to feed every 4-5 hours.. So as soon as the store opened I took it back to the vets (The day after its birth) they took the puppy and said they were keeping it for apparent Neglect (even though it was only 12 hours old and the other puppies were perfectly fine) and they took it home with them.. the next day they called and said the puppy died in its sleep at 4am... after fighting with them for the return of the body they eventually returned it but it had injuries on its mouth and there was blood coming from its mouth and nose and the blood had run down the length of its body like it was bleeding while being held up right... Doesnt make much sence to me..

Would Pets at Home be responsable for the death of my dogs?

If I am allowed to I can post photos of the injured puppy but it does have blood on it which im not sure if im allowed to show on a forum (Could a moderator let me know)

If you are in the UK there is a possibility you could try to make a claim via the small claims court but I doubt it would get very far.
A newborn pup is fragile they might say they had to tube feed and thats where the blood came from etc I have no doubt they would have a ton of paperwork to tie you up with. Its down to you to prove blame and that is going to be very expenisve if even possible..

In the case of the mother dog, if you have a recording it migt help you get some compensation for her death but again a court may rule that it was a medical emergancy , the risks were made known and death was unavoidable. ie simply bad luck.

Im sorry , I am not being horrible just trying to give you an honest opinion based of expeirence of how courts and the medical profession (in my case human) work..
