Narrowed down to these:

Kei- means rapture, but i don't know if I like the pronunciation.
Kita- north, which would be great, but just add an A and you've got the dogs breed
Sumi- Clarity, leaning towards this
Kuma- bear
Kana- powerful

Hi :) native japanese speaker here.
I dont meant to criticize your choices, but am hoping to help you avoid the awkward moment where you thought you meant one thing, but actually got it wrong.

I was not sure where you go the kana = powerful from...
also kei = rapture is not too accurate either. More like "blessing". (my moms name is Keiko meaning blessed child), and not quite as strong a meaning as rapture.

I think Kuma is cute. There is no mistaking that it means bear, and is a proper noun. (Sumi is not quite a complete noun.)

Can you tell me how Kei is pronounced? I heard back and forth from a few different ways, and have no clue which one is right
