Are we to use the UK classifications, or the one of our country?

I will do AKC cause it's easier, plus there is miscellaneous and FSS.

Sporting- Weimaraner (English Springer Spaniel, English Cocker Spaniel, Irish Water Spaniel)
Hound- Bluetick Coonhound (Otterhound, Ibizan Hound, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Whippet)
Working- Great Dane (Komondor, Dogue De Bordeaux)
Terrier- Miniature Bull Terrier (Border Terrier, Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier)
Toy- Pug (Affenpinscher, Toy Manchester Terrier)
Non-Sporting- Bulldog (Tibetan Spaniel, Xoloitzcuintli, French Bulldog, Norwegian Lundehund)
Herding- Entlebucher Mt. Dog (German Shepherd Dog, Australian Cattle Dog, Briard)
Misc- Portuguese Podengo Pequeno (Dogo Argentino, Bergamasco)
FSS- Berger Picard (Bracco Italiano, Hovawart, Hamilitonstovare, Thai Ridgeback)

The first breed is the one I like the most, and the others are honorable mentions lol.

Sporting Group: I love Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers! My science/gym teacher recently got a puppy from a local breeder named Berkley and he's adorable! Plus I've heard some nice things about the breed.

Hound Group: I've always thought Pharaoh Hounds were gorgeous.

Working Group: Doberman all the way, definitely.

Terrier Group: Cairn Terriers. I love their looks and their somewhat snarky attitude. There was one in our obedience class named Tazz and she was a little spitfire.

Toy Group: Papillons, hands down. Completely and totally biased, but from my experience, they're big dogs in a very small package and they're great. Cali is good with everyone, has bundles of energy, and is pretty clever.. and cuddly when she's all tuckered out.

Non-Sporting Group: Dalmatian. I love them and was actually looking into getting one before my mom gave me a size restriction.

Herding Group: Aussies, I love everything about them and they're stunning dogs. I'm definitely going to own one at one point.

I'll post my top three's from the UK accepted breeds ;) Choices are limited though! Very few breeds accepted compared to FCI :p

yes i know! where i live, nobody knows what the azawakh is, only me haha! but i find them so elegant and beautiful, just an all round great breed and i think they should have more recognition worldwide because they're fantastic dogs! :D and it's great to see you like the borzoi and smooth fox terrier too! I just love these breeds in particular :)
Note the Wakh is on my list ;) I've owned all the breeds on my list except that one and the Dalmatian. And I wouldn't own a Dal. I just don't like any of the non sporting breeds, and had to pick one LOL

This is based completely on looks, general reading about breeds, and other superficial stuff :)

Hound - Beagle, Irish Wolfhound
Sporting - Irish Setter, Golden Retriever
Herding - German Shepherd Dog, Old English Sheepdog
Working - Saint Bernard, Leonberger, Newfoundland
Terrier - possibly Soft Coated Wheaten, but I don't think my personality meshes with the typical terrier temperament
Non Sporting - Standard Poodle
Toy - not a fan of small dogs
Misc. - Bergamasco
FSS - Eurasier, Barbet, Lagotto Romagnolo

and pretty much any big, fluffy dog :)

Sporting: Gordon Setters, Flat-coated retriever
Hound: Borzoi (obvious, I should think! LOL), Deerhound, Ibizan, Saluki, Whippet
Working: Alaskan Malamute, Dobe, Berner
Terrier: Bull Terrier, AmStaff
Toy: Chi, Cavalier
Non-Sporting: Keeshond, Finnish Spitz
Herding: Aussie, Border Collie
FSS: Azawakh, Sloughi, Karelian Bear Dog, Kooikerhondje

Most of these are breeds I admire, but could never own. I think the hounds are the only ones that are right for me, and the Beezer is stretching that!
