I just use peanut butter and dog biscuits ....
pumpkin .... i did not know that was ok for dogs ... really your not kidding .... PUMPKIN?
canned? or do you grow it and squish it?
A good piece of freeze-dried liver at the bottom (they go nuts for it and will do anything for it!), then kibble and sometimes pieces of baby carrots, a couple of other yummy treats (like tiny bits of chicken jerkey) mixed in with the kibble, and "sealed" with pure pumpkin.

Rosborn, I get mine from cans, but you have to make sure it says 100% pure pumpkin -- not pumpkin pie filling which has sugar and spices and stuff. They LOVE pumpkin and it's great for settling their stomachs/intestinal system. Sometimes I fill a Kong-type toy with pumpkin and freeze it... they loooove pumpkinsicles! :D
Today I put a Merrick sausage treat, banana, peanut butter and treats in Cooper's Kong. :)
I just bought a Kong for my little pomchi. Do you guys stick the whole treat inside? or leave a little bit of it protruding out. Thanks :D

When Zoey was a baby I left the treat sticking out just a bit the first few times until she figured out that she was supposed to try and get it out. Now I have to try and find ways to make it stay IN longer! LOL.. she gets treats out SO fast. I got her a regular kong, and one of those with the rubber pieces that twist up around the treat.. She's a pro at them both.
Mojo's favorite is plain yogurt and kibble. I'm sure he'd love it if I used just yogurt because he's crazy about it but I worry about giving him too much. He's particularly fond of when I freeze a kibble and yogurt kong!

He also likes pumpkin, but I don't like to give him a ton of it. A teaspoon will really firm up his stools and I've read that too much will have the opposite effect so I'm too chicken to attempt it in a kong.
i put a freeze dried chicken treat in the bottom- it's a flat disc that fits in the bottom. then i add cream cheese and either raw carrots, unsalted cashews, or fresh green beans. used to do bananasa or apples but the gas is unbearable!
