Hello, I have English Cocker Spaniel (Male) Puppy, he is 4 months old. I have a concern, I give him high quality kibble(Farmina N&D).

My concern is his coat is pretty rough in comparation with other cockers on his age. He is red solid color. I met a few cockers including his siblings and others, and all of them have silky smooth coat. His coat is shiny and he is a healthy puppy but this really concerns me, now I will change his kibble, I chose Purina Pro Plan Medium Puppy and I am hoping to soften his coat.

Can this be just genetics?
