Maybe I will! She's asleep curled up on the ottoman right now.

I asked the vet about the cone and they told us that if the dogs don't seem to fuss with it they won't give a cone. I guess she didn't fuss with it.

Lucky you ... Eddee started to fuss this morning. I am not fond of the thing myself! It scrapes up the back of my legs while he is following me around!!! Lol! :)

Should see if you can find a cloth one or the donut ones.

When Daytona had to wear a cone it was a nightmare. She'd run into everything with it trying to get it off (and just because she wasn't used to it). But once she figured out thy they broke pretty easily - we went through 3 or 4 of them.

Can Eddee drink out of his water dish with the cone on? I ask b/c Ted once had a cone that did not allow him to reach his water. I had to cut it with kitchen shears to enable him to drink.

Even wearing a cone, Eddee is so cute I want to steal him. Don't worry, I won't try, mostly because I don't believe in having unattainable goals.

I have been offering Eddee water from a small dish ... I am going to trim the thing for now. I have been taking it off for him to eat. It is too long.

I take Abbylynn on Tuesday for her annual vaccines ... I will see if they have any at the vets office I can purchase. :) I would pay just as much for one in gasoline traveling 35 miles to find another one! :/

Good Idea about trimming it ...I was considering doing that but was not certain.

Yes .... .... for sure! Lol!

I know what you mean! He has knocked over quite a few things trying to use his normal pathways ... like between the couch and inside of an end table! Lol! :)

Eddie is too cute in his cone! Poor fella.

Kodi just got neutered too (two days ago) and our vet said he didn't need a cone (he also didn't send home any pain meds, which is okay, Kodi hasn't seemed to be in much pain.) The vet said that stitches are there because the average owner doesn't want to see the gross opening, but if Kodi pulled his stitches out it would be fine. Because of this the vet doesn't even have any cones (and we don't have a pet store within 100 miles of the vet.) So I don't have any embarrassing cone photos either. :(

Awwwe ... your poor guy too! :(

It does seem as if it hardly bothers him at all. He still has the scrotum ... unlike my other boys. The other two boys had it all removed and seemed much more uncomfortable. I still gave him his pain meds to help calm him a tad. He still wants to fly!!! Lol! :)

If Eddee does ok for the next couple days .. I really would like to ditch it. I almost hate spending more money for another cone just for a week or two's use. :/

We will see .... My other two never had any cones either and were 6 months old when they were neutered ... far from being quiet! They did just fine in the end.

Good luck to everyone and their spay/neuters! :)

You can wrap a towel into a thick roll and then put that around his neck, like one of the collars people wear after a car accident and getting whiplash.
You are a genius!!! :) What a great idea! Thanks! Eddee says thanks too! Much more comfy!

I hate those things. The towel is much better if it will work for you.
Lol! Hahahaha! .... I tried the towel ... the only one I could find to fit and he became a teeter-totter!!! He was top heavy.. and wanted to fall over! Lol! He is only 11.6 pounds according to their weight on his release papers.

I have resorted to just taking it off and watching him 24/7. :) So far today ... he has done quite well .... but he is a hyper puppy! He is finally taking a morning nap. We got up at 5:30 am today. :/

Awwwww, poor guy, hope he isn't touching his stitches, Holly didn't worry about her cone, she was more upset about not being able to do much, she could still play ball, she made sure of that, although i only threw it straight at her mouth.

I was going to get a comfy cone for Bella - but she doesn't fuss with hers at all - that and she's already had zoomies and jumped up and down off my bed - didn't take her very long to get back to being a husky. :(

Lol!!! Eddee has had more than the zoomies once. This guy is a live wire! He has just been berserk ... and no stitches are loose or licked ... nothing swollen or red. Nothing seeping. I guess it is all good! :)

Glad your Bella is doing good!

I wonder how Kodi is doing?

Vicky88 - Eddee is playing ball too! He amuses himself by throwing it down the hall and retrieving it! He is a character! Lol! XD
