Edam Cheese Resolved Urinary Incontinence

857 Views 0 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  Doglight
My 11 year old dog Boise recently had urinary incontinence after completing an antibiotic course for an infected wound. This came out of the blue. She had never had incontinence before, but it continued and would not go away.

Adding dog-size pieces of edam cheese (Mainland/Fonterra, Auckland, New Zealand) to her regular food finally stopped the incontinence, and it has not returned.

On a tangential note, here is a study that found Cheese Fights Antibiotic Resistance in Urinary Tract Infections in people.
