We don't want our dogs in the front yard so we are going to do a double loop in the back yard.

Has anyone done this?

My question:

You have to keep the two wires 3-5 ft apart all the way around. Where the wires go into the house to go to the box, how do you keep them apart? Do you have to drill two holes into the house 3-5 ft apart and then twist the wire together until it goes to the box?

Thank you!

We sold our house before we could do it but we did see a neighbor do it. Make sure you lay the wire out ahead of time and see if it's working.

You twist the wire where you don't want it to be active. We were going to put the unit in the garage and twist out through the wall and down to a corner. Then we would separate the two wires and run them around the yard in a loop and then bring them back to the original spot. The other idea would be to put the wire close to the house or garage on the sides where you don't wan the dogs to cross.

This way you are doing one big loop which is easier but the dog can't go to both parts of the yard. Also, if the dog gets out into the front yard through the front door the fence would be active in the front yard but the dog couldn't go into the front yard because you put the wire close to the house on the sides.

Does that make sense???
