This could be very serious. It could be a blockage. I would take her to the vet ASAP.
Doggie Constipation:(
This is the first time that my dog has been constipated and im not sure what to do. she has tried for the past day and 1/2 and all that comes out is a few drops of this flem like stuff (gross I know). Does anyone know what I can give her to make her go? Are human laxatives safe for dogs? Thanks!

No, human laxitives are NOT to be used for dogs, call the vet and see what they have to say.
Personally, I would NOT follow any of these suggestions. Although they might be effective, you don't know if there is a blockage of some kind. If there is a blockage, something your dog ate maybe, forcing it through the dog's system could very well cause internal damage.
The best thing for you to do is take the dog to the vet. They'll find out what the problem is and treat it.

Those of you who are giving advice, are you vets? Do you know this dog doesn't have a blockage of some sort? I don't think so. Please remember this forum is for the discussion of DIANGNOSED conditions.
