Im at my wits end with our 8 month old pup. when playing outside with other dogs, the moment she sees a human she leaves the dogs and runs towards the human and jumps at them happily. No amount of 'stop' or 'come' make a dent and she has to be literally dragged away.

she has been through basic puppy training course and we have been consistently discouraging her from jumping at people. (though they insist on petting her even when asked not to do so). we were hoping she will grow out of this as she grows older and listen more but now she is 8 months old and huge and i have no clue what to do to make her listen. my question is. how to:

1-stop her running toward and jumping at anybody who walk past (we share a garden with some other houses so people keep walking by during her playtime)

2-get her to learn 'come'. she obviously knows the command coz sometimes she obeys this command with my husband. she just ignores me when she is playing outside.

any advice appreciated.

You teach the sitting politely for greeting and petting away from other distractions... lots and lots of practice with praise and treats. Teach her that this is how she has to meet people.

Same for the Come. Practice in the house....then out in the yard while on leash...then, on a long line. Again, praise and treats for coming promptly.
