I'm always amazed at the length that people will go to rescue a dog.

Although well prepared for what these guys are doing no one could seriously complain if they didn't do it. One of them is so exhausted he has to be pulled out of the frozen lake along with the dog.

Unfortunately that sort of thing happens all too frequently. Several years ago an acquaintance lost his life trying to rescue his 3 samoyeds from an icy pond. The dogs made it back to shore.. sadly he did not.

Kudos to the Hingham Fire Dept.
