Dog not eating with new puppy in house

We have a 2 year old shih Tzu who recently stopped eating from his bowl. He will eat some (but not as much as he used to) if we feed him by hand. We have a newer puppy (been two months). Any suggestions on how to entice him to eat from his bowl again? (Bowl is plastic not metal...tried different bowl and had same response.
