Hello everyone, I have a question or two. I have a 7 month old American Cocker Spaniel. about 2 weeks ago or so, I gave him a flavored bone which I bought in Target, which I believe was beef flavored, but could of been chicken. He enjoyed the bone, but when he first started chewing it, or at least attempting to, because it was a bit bigger then he was used to, he ended up vomiting 30 minutes after I gave it to him, so I took the bone away from him, but for the past two weeks or so, he hasn't been eating much, instead of eating a bowl of dry food in the morning and in the day time, either some more dry food or cottage cheese, which he loves, but he is barely even eating the cheese. He barely enjoys milkybones anymore for the past 2 weeks or so, and he doesn't seem too energetic as he used to be. His stool seems fine, no diarrhea.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Did he eat any of the bone? If so, it could be a partial blockage. There also a chance he could have gotten salmonella from the bone. . .it's rare in dogs but it's possible. Definitely he needs to see the vet.

Thanks guys, I will schedule an appointment to the vet ASAP! As for eating any of the bone, NO, he might have licked the flavor off about half of it, but he didn't even bite through it enough because as I said, it was a little bit bigger then usual. Also his nose has been a bit warm and dry lately as well.

Yep, i feel so bad but i guess the only thing i can do at this point is take the poor little guy to a vet.

I'll be posting pictures of him in the picture section in a few minutes :)

Please keep us posted after the vet visit. I am sending well wishes and prayers your way ......
