Hi All,

My two year old Lab has been licking his paws quite a bit the last few weeks. We just started to notice some redness on the hairless parts. I’m not quite sure what this all boils down to...my work and class schedule has changed so he hasn’t been getting in as much play time as he used to but he definitely still gets his exercise. He is still playful and his paws do not seem to be bothering him - he is walking okay. Could this be allergies? This all started right as Spring was ending and Fall began but I have never noticed this before, nor does he have any known allergies. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

He has to be seen by a vet. That is your first "go to." There are many different things this can be from food to environmental allergies to stress.. and your vet can help you isolate the cause.
