dog is coming home with brain injury

hey. been a while. My pitbull Ranger got aaway from my husband and was hit in the head by an suv.He is now at VHS and is making amazing progress....only been 48 hrs but they are talking about me taking him home to care for him now, that is awesome...but what I wondered is does anyway have experience with this....brain injury.... he is slow moving and slow thinking , his eyes have been affected( optic nerve) and he is in pain fro the fractured jaw & ripped out teeth that will need to be addressed soon.
Any suggestions or helpful tips on taking care of him at home?
