I recently got a 9 month rescue (sighthound mix). I've had him for 3 months and he's a bit attention seeking, otherwise a good obedient dog. Occasionally, If he's been ignored for a bit of time, he will start biting my pants or shirt. Then he starts snarling and growling when I pull away. If I were to put put my hand he would bite it (not very hard, but not soft either). He only stops if I leave the room and shut the door on him or If I stand and offer him a treat to sit or do a trick. That's what makes me think he is doing it for attention. Is there a good way to successfully stop the aggressive approach and maybe have him ask for attention more calmly?
