Hi Everone!

So today my 9-year-old Rottie almost gave me a panic attack. She was in her kennel (two lock kennel), only the top bar slid in and she escaped which she does but only if she needs to go potty and can't wait. Anyways I chased her to the back door thinking she had an upset stomach and I realized that she couldn't walk. She wasn't falling over or spinning but it's like her front legs kept giving out. This lasted for all of a minute, maybe.... could have been shorter (it felt like forever. )

I followed her outside in case she needed to throw up or something, she knocked over a couple of wicker chairs, stumbled into the yard and then once she finally got up on all fours, she was fine and didn't stumble anymore. It was the weirdest thing and I thought I was losing her. It reminded me of being poisoned but didn't last long enough for that to be the case and she wasn't vomiting, drooling, pooping etc.

I gave her some water (which she only had a sip of) but ate a bunch of kibble even though she had been given breakfast this morning. Whatever it was seemed to have left her with an appetite. ( I only fed her to get an idea of how she was feeling.) After she ate, I let her brother out and they proceeded to play, which she instigated.

I'm at a loss as to what this is. Any ideas?

It is against forum rules to request medical advice in lieu of a vet visit. Your dog needs to see a vet ASAP. They are the only ones who can and should be helping you right now.
