Ruger today had explosive diarrhea. He didn't show any signs of not feeling well last night or this morning. He ate really well last night. He also decided he enjoyed swimming so I don't know if he swallowed too much chlorinated water. My cousin found a chewed up Colorado River Frog night before last and so I'm wondering if that could be the culprit. He didn't show any signs of poisoning.

There hasn't been a change in his diet at all.

Any suggestions on what could have caused it?

dogs get diarrhea for many reasons. I would recommend seeing your vet ASAP any diarrhea can cause dehydration very quickly. whatever the cause it is important that you get it under control right away. at the vet they can try to determine what caused it by running lab work and taking xrays if you choose.

Take the dog to the vet immediately, those frogs are incredibly poisonous to dogs. If there's even a chance he chewed on it, he needs to see a vet yesterday.
