Interesting... I guess Logan, my Labradoodle isn't an officially recognized breed yet... oh well! :) I understand preserving tradition, and taking time in making changes.

It's kinda confusing how both Alaskan Malamutes and Belgian Malinois are often called Mals.

Rottweilers can also be called Rotty or Rott/Rot.

English Setter = Lawerack, or Laverack, or Llewellin (or Llewellyn) Setter

The Chihuahua may be a diminutive breed of dog, but there is a lot more to them than meets the eye. They are by no means timid, nor have they been a breed of passive lapdogs during their long history

Thank you for list of all breeds in UK & America and giving the Abbrevation instead of spelling the whole breed's name. its good to know the meaning of any breed name.
