So, I have a simple and random question on one body launguige thing I thought was interesting...so tonight I was sitting on the couch watching a movie at my Dad's cousin's house, and her Miniature Pinscher, Mini, came up to me...overall her posture looked like she wanted to play/wanted attention, but she was snapping at the air? I wasn't sure what to do(since I know she's not human aggressive), so I leaned forward(she wasn't right up close to me, so I wasn't worried about scareing her, she's older), and she came closer and started wagging her tail really hard, and seemed excited, and then she came over so I could pet her, and sat there on my foot and let me pet her for a few minutes.

So, is this normal? I've just never seen a dog do that before haha. I'm just quite curious now

My dog and I play fight! So she'll snap at the air like that. Definitely playful... Remember, their mouths are their hands!

Our dog does this when she wants something from us - play, food, affection.

Kabota does it when I get him really riled up. Get your skin anywhere near his mouth, and he stops immediately. I think it's like a human clapping their hands in excitement.
