What kind of dog bed do you use (if any)? Does anyone have any recommendations for a good place to buy one? My parent's soft-coated wheaten terrier has a flat square LLBean bed that my dog seems partial to, but my friend's dog loves the beds with arms on them. I'd like one with a washable cover.

I just got Bridgette a new one form the feed store in town. It is much bigger than her old one and was actually a lot cheaper! It's got a washable fleece cover that is much warmer for in her in our cold weather.

I'd rather have made on I think, but just didn't have the time!

I got a nice foam one from Petco I think. It has the raised sides and the inside is foam, but the cover zips off for washing which is really nice. The inside is that sherpa looking stuff and the outside is a really pretty brown paisly faux-microfiber. So it looks nice and Max likes it. I think they have a decent selection at Petco for all kinds of beds though so you should be able to find one your dog likes.

Well aside from wherever they want, we bought them a bed from www.petsakes.com (we got it at a pet show). They absolutely love it, it cleans up great in the washer and holds it's shape. I don't know if they still offer it, but when we bought it the guy who owns it told us if your dog chews it up he'll replace it up to three time. Like I said I don't know if it's still that way but anyways, great beds regardless.

I bought twin sized foam mattress pads, folded them in half and put large dog bed covers over them. The bed covers came from Drs. Foster & Smith.

Works nicely and didn't cost a fortune!

Chewy has a Kirkl;and Signature dog bed from Costco. It has a cover you can unzip and wash, and it is stuffed with cedar chips. It used to be really soft and cushion-y when we first got it, but it's outside all the time so it's all lumpy now. I think the moisture gets to the dust and makes it clump together. The cedar is great though because it doewsn't smell bad at all, even after 4 years. The other dogs sleep either on the couch or on one of the human beds.

Take a look at Pet O beds...I think the link is www.Pet-O-Bed.com, if that is not it, do a google search. They're wonderful! The covers come off and are washable, you can choose from a few different fabrics and it's just a "home based" company, husband and wife, I like that kind of thing. I have two covers so if one is dirty, I have another to put on while the other is washing

Mojo has a cat bed with high sides that he can snuggle in. At least, it's supposed to be his, but sometimes one of the cats will take it over and he can't use it (they are much bigger than he is). I'd kinda like to make him a bed that is a cross between a love bucket and a lap den. I think it would be the perfect bed for him with a deep cushy bed but also covers to burrow and snuggle in.

My dogs have quite a few beds and I would have to say there favorite are the "cuddle" style beds. They have one by Room Candy called "Oodles of Poodles" and they all seem to really love that bed and use it more than any of their other beds. It's really soft and I think the fabric that it is made of, is the reason they like it so much. The whole bed is also washable, which is always a plus around here!

I second the slumber ball from Dr Foster & Smith, it is very cozy in the winter time, but in the summer they like a harder bed that they do not sink into so they can stay cool, so we have three pair of different style beds, plus they have our couches as well:) Yes, they are very spoiled, like I am:)
