Hello everyone.

Today I was sitting on the couch with my boyfriend's dog (Olive, 10, Labrabull). My dog (Gatsby, 3, Eskie) was sleeping on the opposite end of the couch. Gatsby started breathing heavily and Olive perked up and looked at him. Then she walked over to him and looked at him while he was sleeping. We have had dog fights in the past over food, so her being in his face makes me nervous. I walked over and as I got to them she attempted to attack him. Luckily I was able to grab her collar and pull her away before she could latch onto him.

Anyone else have an experience like this? Where a dog attacks a sleeping dog out of nowhere?

Pit/bull dog mix can have the dog aggression gene. It may not show up until one day it does. That day has arrived.

Separate the dogs permanently. If you do not the Pit Mix will one day kill the Eskie.
