My parents got my dog from a breeder a couple years ago as a Christmas gift and cause they thought i needed a pet lol. They said the breeder said he was a Husky/Lab mix but a bunch of folks don't see it and think its not accurate. But my parents have paper work they says somewhere that says he is that.

What do you all think?

Like Weight wise? 30lbs-45lbs i believe
Yeah, weight-wise. At that weight my guess stands. I definitely don't see any husky in this dog, but genetics can be kind of crazy. A few people on this forum own puppies whose mother was an Alaskan husky and you'd never know it. They all look like big 'ol great dane/APBT mixes. One looks almost like a purebred Dogo Argentino!

Weight wise, depending on the kind of Husky, they are similar in weight to Aussies. My Alaskan Husky weighed ~36 pounds (and could go down to 30 if I let her get really lean which she was inclined to do when we didn't work at keeping weight on her). That is not uncommon for Northern bred sled dogs - Alaskan Huskies.

If your dog is Lab x Husky I would suggest that the sire nor dam were purebred Husky or purebred Labrador - probably types that mostly resembled a Lab and mostly resembled a Husky.

Your dog looks almost like a carbon copy of my bf's Border Collie, but to some, Border Collies and Australian Shepherds, look very alike. *shrug* Just from what you've told us it sounds like your dog could be from a BYB so I wouldn't trust the paper work. Cute dog though!

I don't think Lab/Husky mix could make a spotty dog. I think Husky could be accurate (because he's fluffy enough) but not mixed with Lab. Aussie, yeah, or BC maybe. Or Springer/Lab mixed with Husky? He looks like a Springer/Lab I know but is fluffier.

I'm not seeing lab/husky, but after the PP litter I'm wary of basing breed guesses solely on looks.

What kind of "paperwork" does one get with a mixed breed?
I'm pretty curious to this as well.
Not to be rude, but I am honestly curious as to what sort of papers came with the dog.

I personally don't see husky at all. To me, I see some sort of Spaniel crossed with a couple fluffy breeds, maybe aussie or some other fluffy dog.
But man does he look soft.

That looks like a border collie or border collie x spaniel to me. I certainly don't see labxhusky. Besides, why would a 50 lbs dog crossed with an 80 lb dog create a 35 lb dog?

Huskies can come in piebald, though the dog looks like neither Lab nor Husky to me.

I strongly agree.
I thought St. mix too at first, but the weight halts that theory xD
