Last thread topic was closed so I'm writing my response here.
I think they do imagine. I guess re-living what they've already been through, but even when my pup was just 8 weeks old, he would dream about running in his sleep. Now he'll run (his legs are going) and let out little whoofs, I can only guess he's dreaming of chasing something. Regardless it's the cutest thing!
