My dog survived distemper when he was around 4 months old and has been doing great, with only mild facial and leg twitches. He's now 8 years old and has developed a new tick, almost like an Elvis twitch on one of his lips. It's doesn't seem to be affecting him much but I'm worried that as he gets older, they'll get worse.

We've been told nothing can be done but I'm wondering if anyone has any different advice or alternative therapies that might have worked for their dog? He's not suffering at the moment but the longer we can prevent new twitches from developing the better.

Thanks!

I have six month puppy with distemper and she's pretty much heeled except for leg twitches in one leg that can be mild or too the point she can't walk. Just wondering what if any symptoms your puppy had going forward and if anything helped? Thanks
