This was mentioned in another thread.. thought to start a new one on just this topic.

This is the place for old time thinking, sayings and misconceptions to come and Die. Please add your own:

"A dog that tastes blood will become a killer"

"Mark my words, Dogs with upright ears (or "name a breed") will turn on you some day" ( I was told this when training my good IPO 3 dog in a park!)

"Spaded (sic) dogs get fat"

"A dog should have one litter"

"Rub a dog's nose in his pee/poop to show him he was bad to pee/poop in the house"

"My dog knows he was bad because he looks guilty"

Not about dogs, but one of my least favorites:

Juuuust coming in here to say that political and religious topics aren't allowed on the forum to prevent huge, non-dog-related conflict. So please keep things here away from those subjects, thank you!
