we have a one year old staffy x who is quite energetic and bouncy and we have just brought a new 11 week old puppy collie into the house, shes a little bit timid in her nature. We are slightly worried about the aggression from the staff when they interact, sometimes then can be fine playing and other times it can go a bit too far,any advice would be great :)

What do you mean by "a bit too far?"

Here are a couple thoughts:
- dogs usually give a young puppy a little bit of slack, they realize that the puppy doesn't have their manners yet, so they usually accept worse behavior from a puppy than they would an older dog; it's kind of like a "puppy license".
- BUT, your other dog is only one year old, and that's kind of considered an "older puppy". So, the staffy may not be mature enough to realize that the puppy needs some slack.

Make sure that you supervise their play. Watch their body language. Learn what happens with their bodies right BEFORE it "goes a bit too far" so that you can recognize it, and stop it before it gets to that point.

Also, make sure that you spend time with each dog separately, training separately, exercising/walking separately, cuddle time separately, so that each dog gets time with you.
