Corgi Tail docking and etc.

Hello, I'm actually going to be trying to adopt a corgi but I heard most Corgi's are born with tails. I looked into some breeders who guarantee they dock tails and cut dew claws. Have you heard of any breeders who don't do this to corgis?
Preferably in Wisconsin? And, why is it so important? I don't plan to show my dog, but care for him and do my research about what he'll need.

Dewclaws are not useless. When attached, they are vital tools for gripping the ground when making fast, sharp turns. They are also useful for working retriving dogs, like if they where working in frozen water, the only way to crawl out, is with dew claws.

Why do you not want a docked tail? It is harmless, and done at such a young age, that the nerve endings aren't even developed yet. Painless. Plus, some are even born with natural bobs. I forgot what it is called, but bobtail x bobtail pairings often result in sitllborns, so there are usually instances where the litter is more or less half natural, half bobbed.

If you want a tail, your breeder could possibly work that out. Otherwise, look into cardi corgis.
