Cooper is on a diet. I ordered samples of Natural Balance Reduced Calorie for him to try. He ate both sample bags with no problem. So, SO and I go and buy him 2 15 pound bags of it and now he won't eat it! I tried mixing in some of the old food with it, but it's not working. He did eat a little of it tonight. I was thinking of maybe checking into the gravy for dog food? I've heard of it, but have never bought it. To me it kind of seems like I would be defeating the purpose of reduced calorie food by dumping gravy on it! But, maybe just a little? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get him to eat it?

I don't know. I'm just very frustrated that he will not eat it now that we've spent $60 on this food!

Just keep offering it and take it up after 15 minutes. If he's on a diet anyway, it won't hurt him to miss a few meals. He'll probably lose the weight faster.
