Okay, 2 months ago, my dog terry was hit my a car. She broke her femur in 2 places, dislocated her hip, and ruptured her bladder. 5k Later, The vet had fixed her bladder, and put a plate to hold her leg together. While he was about the do a FHR (Fermural head Removal). He was putting the plate in and her leg popped back into place. He tried for 5 minutes to get it to come out and it wouldn't, so he left it. He felt is would stay in place.
Well, I go for her 2 month checkup and her leg is dislocated again. Now I just spent 5k on surgery to fix her leg, and now it is dislocated again. I want her to be able to run again (fastest dog I have even seen) and play hard, and I dont want to have to worry about her leg. What are my options. Amputation is not an option as I just spend 5k to fix her. What can I do to get my dog up and running again.

What are my options? FMH or can they pop it back into place or something.

By the way, she is an Australian cattle dog.

I forgot to mention, She has the will to get back to running and jumping. I mean she is running and playing, WITH A DISLOCATED LEG. She doesn't whimper or cry at all. She wants to play, but I don't want it to get any worse.

The best option and probably the most economic would be to seek the advice of a specialist and if surgery is need have them do it the right way so it won't have to be done over and over again. The other problem is that with dislocated joints if they aren't popped back into the socket within 3 hours you'll have a much higher chance of it happening again, which is another reason why I say skip the middle man and go straight to the specialist.

The specialist is the one that left it. It popped it back in after 2 days when he was putting the plate in her leg. And Of course, it popped out of place. It have been dislocated for at least 3 weeks. She hasn't put any pressure on it since she was hit. She is getting around really well using 3 legs, but I didn't spend 5k to have her use 3 legs. So you think I should just get the FHR?
