Hi,

I hope someone can help me, I’ll be picking up a Douge De Bordeaux when he will be just under 10 weeks old. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what travel carrier would be best, I’ve looked online but with the pictures being so misleading I kind of have no room for error!
Thanks for reading this and I hope to hear back from someone soon.

Contact your breeder to determine the size of the dog.

Next, what is your travel method? Car, plane.....

If plane, then contact the air carrier to determine their requirements and if there is space on the plane.

If car, then base on the size of the dog and go up 1 size.

Hi, I’ll be travelling locally within the UK, via a 2 hour train journey, I imagine the dogs will be fairly large as they’re large anyways, just wondering if anyone has picked up a similar pup at the same age and size, if so what did they use.
Thanks for the reply

I would ask your breeder. They likely know exactly which size crate you need, and s/he will likely have an idea of what other people have used for various travel methods. You might also want to determine if the train has certain criteria for what types of carriers you can or can't take on the train.
