Shadow is gonna need a new collar soon. He is quickly growing out of his puppy collar. I have loosened it twice since we got him on Feb 5. What is a good quality collar to buy for him? I think i remember reading somewhere about Lupine?

I added a poll of the brands that my local Wag N Wash Healthy Pet Center sells since this is where I do most of my pup spending.

Beutiful pup, looks a bit like my Toby. I'm not sure how long his coat is, but with Toby a flat buckle collar wore down his fur too much so we went with a rolled leather collar. It's perfect.

I've found both of these manufacturers make good quality collars: Ruff Wear & Earthdog.

Both are likely on the higher cost side for their material, but they are good quality IMO.

my dogs wear Premire and K2 both are made almost exactly the same but K2 uses all plastic while the Premire ones I have have metal slips for ajusting. My dogs are a medium length coated dog, and I have noticed no hair loss of any kind (although my dogs don't wear thier collars in the house) and the Snaps on the collar hold very well I have never had a buckle break.

whoops I mean it's EKusa not K2 lol. but here is a picture of their collars. The top one is a Premire and it is the oldest Thats for Jack and he's probably had it for about 10 years now.

the middle one is Kechara's and hers is about 6 years old that one is also a Premire

then the Bottom one is Hawkeye's and he's had t for less than a year and that is the EK one. notice the difference in the slips.

Hmmm....my brand isn't up there but I just LOVE Earthdog collars. They are durable, soft for the dogs and eco-friendly.

I don't have any of them. I have a Top Paw collar,my brother gave it to me because I didn't have one.She is growing so fast I'll wait before I buy a better one.

These 4 I recommend. I actually have one from Collarmania on the way and should be here today or tomorrow. The other 3, I have heard nothing but GREAT reviews about. All are made with strong dogs in mind, so they are going to last. But they also make them for small dogs, so don't let the Pit bull images scare you away.

And if you ever need a leash http://www.ellaslead.com/home I own 3 of hers and LOVE then to death. Even had an issue with one lead where the latch would pop off, and she sent me a new leash free of charge. Haven't had an issue since.
