I recently found a lump on the back of Coal's leg, took him to the vet to find out it's nothing serious or to worry about (*phew*) but it has made me more aware of his mortality... he's 6 now, but aging quickly. He's the best friend a girl could ask for. I got him halfway through highschool when things were really tough for me, and I can't count the number of times he was, what I felt, my only friend in the world and he's probably saved me on countless occasions.
So, I wanted to share some photos of my Coaly, from when he was younger and more spry. I love him to pieces and I'm hoping to keep him healthy and happy for several more years, if I can. He's slowed down a lot, but at heart he's still the same silly, sweet boy.
Aw, Coal is a handsome boy. I'm partial to black dogs. Here's hoping he lives out his golden years healthy and happily, and with lots of Labby spunk too.
