Hi! I'm new to this forum and I've seen some great responses from members wanting to help out. We have a 1 year old Pit Bull (wonderful, perfect, happy go lucky love of our lives) and just adopted a (seemingly very well brought up) 1 1/2 yr old Pit. The new Pit, Karly, has done this odd thing with her jaw that we're wondering whether to worry about or not. She keeps her mouth closed but it's like she's grinding/clicking her teeth. It hasn't shown up at any predictable time: excited, hungry, etc... It also doesn't seem to cause her any pain because she goes on playing with the pup, just doesn't mouth him. Does anyone know if this is something we should take to our vet or a normal quirk some dogs have? Thanx in advance for your help! :)

My dobe does this (in fact it's kinda breed trait) just like your dog, it'when she's excited about something. It's a kind of communication, just like tail wagging.
