I was wondering if there were many of the agility people on here that subscribe to the magazine "Clean Run".

A friend of mine from class has brought me some of her older issues. I have been reading them cover to cover. They have lots of great information, diagrams for practices and lots of great and inspirational stories. These some how really hit home with me and encourage me not only to continue with training agility with Voodoo but also encourages me with my horse shows as well. I just love them.

Does anyone read these stories or magazine?

I have ordered products from their website!

Good magazine. Not inexpensive! Mostly Agility but a lot of good stuff.

But wait.. Isn't that a BASSETT in your Avatar? How low do the jumps need to be? ;) :p

I went to a trial last year and a fellow ran a **** hound and a Beagle thru an advanced course, so I am just teasing on your Bassett. Agility is good training for any dog and it is fun.

You are right it is not inexpensive. I am having a hard time justifying spending the money for a years subscription. It is less than half for the e copy but I tend to read a magazine in the mail more than I would one I received online. If that makes any sense at all? LOL

Yep that is a basset in my avatar. That is our "Old Man" he passed away last fall. He had about as much energy as his bed. His fun time lasted all of about 10 minutes daily. LOL :) He was a wonderful sweet boy. * I know you are teasing me about him, no worries there. It is nice when people are friendly. :) I actually joked with my husband about our old man a couple years ago saying I wonder what people would think if I actually took him to an agility or obedience course. My husband laughed and said they would probably think you lost you mind and Dusty would too. He would rather be in his bed than at class. HA HA HA

I would have loved to have seen the **** dog in agility. I have to say even though we have a different breed catagory now, I am still a hound dog lover at heart. LOL

Agility is fun we adopted a pup in Dec from the local HS and we just completed the Intro to agility. It is quite fun.

I subscribe to Clean Run and love it. There was actually a Bassett on this month's cover...

I also subscribe to the APDT's Chronicle of the Dog and the Whole Dog Journal.

OMG, I would have loved to have seen the basset on it. LOL It seems like a great magazine. I am working hard to convince myself it is not that expensive to subscribe to.

I have not heard of the other magazines you mentioned. I will have to search online and check them out.

I love Clean Run magazines! I've bought them used off of e-bay. I keep wanting to subscribe but with two kids in college something always tends to come up.

Let us know what you think of Dog World. I subscribe to Clean Run and Front and Finish. Honestly I've been a little disapointed with Clean Run's articles, but the practice courses are an AWESOME tool.

I've been thinking about starting my coonhound in agility! I wanted to do tracking with her but with the money that I already spend at the club (that does not offer tracking) I may as well take her to something there instead of spending $150 else where. I'm sure I will have lots of super entertaining posts about this and maybe some video! She just isn't that bright. . .
