Chest Congestion caused by lymphoma

2065 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  HarmonyMellow
My dog has chest congestion caused by lymphoma. My vet has basically said there is nothing that can be done. But I would like to still try to help her as best I can. I thought that maybe walking her could possibly help break up the congestion. Does anyone have any experience with this or have any suggestions?

Thank you.

Hi, I have no idea, our dog Rolly doesn't have this symptom. Is she on any medications? Walking her if she is up to it might be a good idea, you can always try it, however make sure she is warm enough and won't catch any viruses where you walk her, as their immune systems can get a little overwhelmed with lymphoma. I am not sure if a humidifier might help? Good luck and best wishes, hope she is feeling a bit better soon!
Thank you for your reply. Our dog is taking Prednisone and Lukeran for her lymphoma. I took her for a very short walk and I think it did loosen up her congestion somewhat. I hope your Rolly is doing well. Best wishes to you both.
