I absolutely love the depth of Charcoal drawings. They are both cool but for me charcoal has to win. :)

Use both. :D
I know a guy who does pencil/charcoal/sharpie drawings. The difference in values and whatnot is absolutely AMAZING. Actually, it'd probably be better to use a plain ol' black marker 'cause sharpies have that wierd purple sheen....

Good luck on whatever you choose!

I just want to know if you take commissions. Wow!! Beautiful work, both mediums. =)

I prefer the charcoal as well, though it was pretty close to 51/49 - darn hard to make a choice there.

Well Uallis was charcoal, does that make it easier :p
Hmmm...Well...I DO like Ually's drawing the best of those you've done (I'm biased here...) so I suppose it will make a difference...OK...I like charcoal the best...haha ;)

Don't have a preference - but Pepper, you're so talented! Those are all beautiful pictures.

Hmm I voted for charcoal. But if you're doing a short coated dog, I'd go with pencil and for longer coat go for charcoal. Looks a bit softer.
