First off, let me set the record straight. I am NOT a cat hater. I am a responsible pet owner who picks up after my pets, and never lets them use my neighbors yards or property for their toilet. My cat died 2 years ago, but NEVER went outside.

That being said, I have a neighbor who has 4 adult cats and has just taken in 4 kittens that are being bottle fed. The adult cats run loose, and are spraying all the neighbors houses, fences, porches and decks. The stench is getting horrible as the weather gets nicer. They are also using the landscaping and even one of my elderly neighbors garden in the neighborhood as a litter box. I can't even imagine what it will be like with 8 of them.

What can we humanely do to prevent our property from becoming a stinky toilet? Please don't suggest moth balls. I have tried them, and I simply can not stand the smell of them.

I am at my wits end. Any suggestions?
